So good...they sent it twice

Images from: H&M Autumn Season 2012 Catalogue

Have clearly ordered so much through the H&M catalogue they thought they best send two in case I wear out the first one from looking through it too much! If you do not like coral and burgundy this is not the collection for you, it is everywhere! From the tight knits to the city shorts and chinos. The pictures I have added to Facebook, here, have a distinct sixties feel but with modern twists, like the woven trousers and knit but worn with the funky sandals and socks (again in burgundy), a look I am definitely feeling for autumn. This time am liking the jumpers, the shoes and the detailing, like the silver cuffs on the gold trousers.

Also put up my look for Look magazines competition to be a stylist in their Look Show, here, go through to like the image if you do! Many thanks x

Red, white...and blue

Top: Primark   Jeans: H&M   Necklace: Primark   Trainers: Converse

Just a quick post as I wanted to put up the link to my Facebook page and album that has some more photos from the previous post, here, that aren't on the blog. Would love to have more contact with other bloggers and fans through Facebook so please go through and like/leave comments for me if you wish! Am not going to stay too long on here as in the midst of watching the Olympics opening ceremony, must admit I was a bit sceptical but well done to Danny Boyle and the team for this great feat!

Just wanted to add the above photos taken actually before we went out in the previous post, mainly due to the necklace! One of the bits I noticed when looking through images for Primark's Autumn collection, check out some other great designs like this geometric one, here. Some great statement pieces, here, and, here.

And...again

Jacket: Primark   Dress: H&M   Trainers: River Island   Bag: H&M

I know, I know it's that jacket again but I love, love, love, love, LOVE it! Seriously there is a whole lot of love going on for this particular item! I like that it can be a bit more dressed up like the previous post or more casually as above. Between that and the black hi-tops with their hidden wedge I'm basically just alternating the clothes in between at the moment!

Was having a wander looking at all the recent drops into stores, shall try to do a post at some point of my favourite pieces from a/w collections (seriously how is it that July is nearly over already?!) but am loving that most things are studded, from bags to collars, as I do love a bit of embellishment and the trend seems to have taken off already in stores. It is not just studs but pretty gems and beads too, currently lusting after this dress, here, at River Island.

Ready for...contrast

Jacket: Primark   Blouse: Miss Selfridge   Trousers: H&M   Shoes: Primark   Bag: H&M   Watch: River Island   Necklace: River Island   Moustache ring: River Island   Cross ring: Topshop

Was out doing a couple of jobs around the Trafford Centre today in Manchester. When you see something a lot you kind of loose appreciation for the detail and special areas around the place like the stone lions and carved eagles around all the drain pipes. I could also sit and watch the dolphin fountain for ages! Check out the Facebook page, here, for latest news and events.

Ever since I saw the preview for Primarks Autumn/Winter collection, that mentioned, here, have been looking out for the items to come through to stores. This jacket I managed to pick up last week and soooo glad that I did, it's a great versatile piece and the faux leather sleeves make it appear much more pricey! Have seen similar version in Topshop, here, and also liking this khaki version with fur collar for River Island, here, as well as this gorgeous drape fronted leather jacket from the same place, here.

Simple...the best

T-shirt: Primark   Skirt: River Island   Trainers: Converse All Stars   Bag: House of Holland   Sunglasses: H&M   Watch: River Island   Bracelet: River Island   Big ring: Primark   Leaf ring: H&M

Wore this out for lunch with a friend the other day, not exactly the most exciting outfit I'll grant you, but  the skirt is beautifully soft and it's nice that when the wind catches it (which I was trying to capture in the last image) you have the safety that you know if won't leave you exposed!

Something with a touch more glamour literally just popped up on my Facebook home page, this video here to go with the Michael Kors Fall 2012 ad campaign, shot by Mario Testino at Paramount Studios depicts the type of lifestyle I'm sure many of us would love!!! Check out some more gorgeously glamourous photos for the campaign, here...am liking the lace skirt and thick knit jumper combo, something to think about for the colder days!

Week in...Brighton

Just a few images from the week down here in Brighton, have spent most of it going out in the sunshine and then quickly dashing for cover in a down pour but managed to get a few photos in between. The exhibition of the Union Jack designed items was in the Brighton Museum, to (rather obviously) celebrate the Jubilee, thank god for this free place to have a look around when needing cover! The long dress uses two flags by Jasper Conran and the last image with the tutu style dress is one by Vivienne Westwood. There is an image of our lovely food at The Grand Hotel on the seafront and some photos of outfits I was trying on whilst planning what to wear for a night out, I went with nether of these but do have to try on at least 5...6... OK more like 10 different options first!

The odd ones in between are just from wandering round town and having a good look in all the shops. I love all the vintage ones with their rails of clothing outside in different sections (the dungarees are for the sis as she is living in hers at the mo!), one of the best places is To Be Worn Again, here, has so many different rails all over the store (my favourite is the sequin and glittery rail!). Also I like Get Cutie and its retro style handmade dresses, here, and Jaba Yard, here. Any of the shops down there you can find some goodies in though and love that they are interspersed with memorabilia, photography, and random sweet shops! Mmmm...

Sunny...really

Shirt: Primark   Trousers: H&M   Trainers: River Island   Bag: H&M   Watch: Urban Outfitters   Bracelet: River Island

Has been an interesting week so far down in Brighton, have had a fancy afternoon tea at The Grand Hotel on the seafront, been out for food and cocktails (where I did set a napkin on fire!), been to see the lovely Elif down in Rottingdean again to do some more amendments on a dress for me (check out her Facebook page and work, here) and sorted through so much china from the wedding last year I could probably now start a home ware store.

Shall do a post of diary pics at the end of the week but just wanted to post these pics my mum took today, partly as she was impressed by her photography skills and wanted to see them up and partly as it makes it appear deceptively sunny down here. Morning before we were in the midst of a thunderstorm and torrential rain, told you would have to prepare for every eventuality!!! Want to get out tomorrow actually into the town and see what's changed/happening and have a little hunt for some goodies down the Laines, best place to shop down here FYI.

Packing...for Brighton

Have been a bit rubbish with taking proper photos this week as am desperately trying to sort out for next weeks trip to Brighton and then, three weeks after that, our next holiday to Ibiza! Sooooo excited to be going again! You may remember me recalling the last trip in the post, here. That time I managed to get ten days worth of packing into this little holdall, here. Am normally the queen or efficient packing but since am driving down to Brighton next week, instead of training it, am going a bit all out and preparing for every eventuality. You never know it could rain or shine, last time I went it snowed!

Taking a selection of jumpers and tees, all to mix with either heels or my new hi-top, hidden wedge, trainers from River Island, available here. The second photo was a good find earlier in Primark, love the shading and knit to it, also available in pink! The fourth photo shows one of my favourite dresses from Zara that I got last year, could look equally good with the trainers and a biker jacket or the flat sandals if it warms up a bit. The long orange dress in the last photo is one from Topshop that I want to wear for a special occasion so hopefully some photos will follow if that soon!
