If the bubble...bursts

Shirt: Primark   Trousers: Topshop   Brogues: Primark   Ring: Primark   Clutch: Primark

I really like this large spot shirt, the size of the print makes it a bit different than the normal spotted shirt. Other version, here, at Mink Pink or in a t-shirt style, here, at Miss Selfridge or white dress, here, in the Boutique by Jaeger sale. Have toned it down and made it a slightly office style with black trousers and the brogues but could see it going nicely with some bright trousers, like these posted, here, before.

This envelope clutch is also another love, and fits a surprising amount in, but ALWAYS gets me when I open it as I want to open it the other way than it is in the picture and end up with contents all across the floor! Check out asos.com and their bag section, here, for some great envelope clutches in a variety of colours - loving all the pastel shades and metal detailing on some of them.

Oh no...I broke

Shirt: Topshop   Trousers: H&M   Boots: New Look   Watch: River Island   Bag: H&M   Scarf: H&M   Bands: H&M   Ring: Topshop   Bra (just seen): H&M

Feel little bit ashamed that I broke in my challenge not to buy new things but when I saw someone with this shirt on I had to find out where it was from and it started a bit of a spree that saw me getting the bag and scarf too with the view of wearing them all together. Damn the loose fit, sheer fabric and racer type back was just too darn tempting!!!

The bag is similar to the Celine style shoppers, here, or Zara have other versions, here, or check out the other colours available from H&M, here. I thought the scarf looked really good tied round the bag with its contrasting colours and then when I got home to find the spring 2012 catalogue there was an image in there with the exact same colours/items (picture on twitter). I am going to try again through March not to spend anything on clothes and it has taught me that there are probably already things similar to new items I like in my wardrobe already when I actually bother to go through it, might have to get the sister to hold onto the bank card though, just incase!

The great...outdoors

Jumper: New Look   Jeans: Primark   Plimsols: Primark   Sunglasses: H&M   Bag: H! by Henry Holland

Just took a few shots the other day and wanted to add them, not so much for the outfit but due to how bright and colourful the day seemed. I know it's very cheesy but everything was just so clear and had that sort of spring time feeling where everything is coming into colour. We were heading out for lunch and decided to have a look around the local rock gardens beforehand, a place I must go back to for some more photos as you could get some lovely shots.

We only took a couple of pictures as we were walking through but what you can't see behind the camera in the first photo is the boyfriend and brother-in-law doing their own model style poses, which looked more like them doing some kind of bizarre yoga-esque work out! Was trying to keep away from adding black to the outfit today and I would like to wear these jeans with more pastel shades like the shirt worn on the 16/2, here, and try out some more formal pastel tailoring.

Bright...lights

Jumper: H&M   Trousers: H&M   Shoes: H&M   Bag: Primark   Watch: River Island   Bracelets: H&M

I WILL wear bolder clothes, and what's bolder than some neon trousers?! I bought these patent shoes back last year when they first came out from H&M and although I could probably put many things with them these trousers seemed to go perfectly. In summer would put with a loose fitted t-shirt like this one, here, or dressed up for the night with some metallic heels.

Speaking of bright items would also quite like this frosted bag, here, (and all the things on the 'why not try' section too!!!) the two tone belt, here, and the scarf, here, from H&M. These bright shoes, here, or if just want a bit of detail maybe this t-shirt, here, from Miss Selfridge. Basically a lot of things, not necessarily to wear altogether...actually maybe to wear all together!!! Hmm....

Thing for...heights

Jumper: Primark   Jeans: New Look   Bracelets: H&M   Bag: Primark   Boots: www.missguided.co.uk

Hoorah, in between all the rain and hail yesterday actually managed to go out when it was reasonably warm without a coat, I do enjoy these times! Was feeling pretty cosy in this jumper and keeping out the puddles in my boots, am building the savings to afford some Jeffrey Campbell ones but these are some pretty good substitutes in the mean time from missguided.co.uk. Have always wanted some silver glitter ones but am quite amused by these cat tapestry style ones at Office, here.

Check out the video section for a couple of ones from fashion week that I like in New York and a collection of footage from London, has anyone been to anything? Hopefully one year will get to attend, can only imagine the excitement of going.

Staying...in the dark

Jacket: River Island   Jumper: H&M   Trousers: H&M   Shoes: Primark   Bag: H&M   Scarf: Miss Selfridge   Earrings: Topshop   Ring: River Island

Am coming to the end of my week off and it has been a hectic one at that! Have been down to Brighton and back more times than expected and today just got back from the Lake District, which would've been lovely if the mist had lifted, typical English weather! Have gone from the snow to rain so hopefully in the last couple of days to the sunshine. Got these brogues back in October, here, really need to wear them more so thought today they would brighten up a bit of a dull day!

Course I'm very sure this schedule has nothing on the people running round at the fashion weeks, have been trying to keep up with news on the Vogue website, here, with their post updates and pics. Am also going to be checking out their live feeds on their Facebook page (link through my page, here, just have to like the page), will definitely be checking out the Topshop Unique show on Sunday at 3pm!

Time...to fly

Shirt: Primark   Jumper: H&M   Jeans: Topshop   Boots: Topshop   Sunglasses: H&M   Ring: H&M   Necklace: Topshop

As you can see, still experiencing quite a bit of snow at the moment, no more falling but just making all the surrounding areas look very pretty. Have been spending the last couple of days seeing family and taken these shots in-between. Have decided the key to dressing for the bright but very cold is layers (and many hidden layers!!!) so have hidden this shirt under a cosy knitted jumper that I bought about three years ago but love due to the softness and as it has lots of clear beads hidden within the knitted circle.

The blouse underneath has lots of printed swallows all over, a theme picked up in the feather ring, and is a nice slouchy blouse as has a really long hem at the back. The necklace I wore in one of my first posts, here, and like due to its slightly unusual items on it. Have got to get into the statement earring trend now that's a big thing again, always used to wear them and then went to just wearing the same ones for work. So keep and eye, or an ear, out for future pics...

Pure...brilliance

Coat: H&M   Jumper: H&M   Jeans: Red Herring   Boots: New Look   Scarf: H&M   Watch: Urban Outfitters

Have literally just got back to Brighton as now off work on holiday this week and can't believe how much snow they still have, when I left Manchester we were just in typical rain! It is so bright and driving back into where we live over the hills that over look Brighton is so pretty with all the South Downs hills, will add some photos to the gallery soon.

The outfit was partly influenced by an image I saw in the latest Grazia issue of Blake Lively (though I know could never get close to touching how she looks, is it me or does that girl just look perfect ALL the time?!!!), was a casual look and she had a short leather jacket but I liked the idea of the patterned scarf against a plain black top and dug out my heeled army boots as seemed appropriate for the weather! Have added some more images to Facebook, here.
