British Fashion Awards...2011

Alexa Chung and Christopher Kanehttp://www.guardian.co.uk/fashion

Last night saw the British Fashion Awards 2011 celebrated at The Savoy Hotel and Theatre in London to celebrate our best of design and inspiration. Was having a flick through some of the images this morning and checking out the winners. Sarah Burton obviously, and deservedly, won Designer of the Year, Victoria Beckham won the Designer Brand award, Alexa Chung won British Style award (above with Christopher Kane who won New Established Brand award).

My favourite outfits of the night though were for the above images of Susie Lau of Style Bubble blog, wearing her own creation of shoes for the project SIXby6bloggers for farfetch.com, available to purchase here, and Olivia Palermo dress by Matthew Williamson and boots by Topshop, here, matched with simple hair and accessories.

Mmm cake...and cocktails

Dress: Primark   Jacket: Primark   Boots: New Look   Watch: Urban Outfitters   Necklace: New Look   Fox ring: River Island

Had an absolutely delicious meal yesterday to celebrate the boyfriends birthday, some great food and some even better cocktails - gingerbread and apple (another great thing about this time of year!). They even bought him out a lovely chocolate volcano cake, above, that we swiftly demolished!!! Have added some more photos to the Facebook page, here.

I love the feel of the dress, with its layer on layer of netted skirt, makes you feel bit like a ballerina. Also the detail and line of the top work well in contrast to the skirt. Here dressed up for the evening with an oversized blazer but could dress down for the day with a denim shirt and flat brogues.

Nights...draw in

Cardigan: Primark   Jumper: H&M   Jeans: Topshop   Boots: Primark   Necklace: Gift   Bag: Primark

So how many people got their Versace for H&M goodies today?!!! Due to lack of walking allowed woke up ridiculously early to set myself up ready for the online store to launch the range only to have this infuriating message, here, pop up constantly. But after repetitive strain injury from clicking the refresh button FINALLY managed to get my purchase. Went for this dress, here, due to the colour and changing hem line. Also wanted this dress, here, and this bag, here, but was too late :(.

The above photos are the problem with shorter days, not so many opportunities to take photos and this camera's not so good in the dark! But on the plus side get to wrap up in cosy cardis like this navajo style one, which along with the tassel boots I bought due to their Isabel Marant-esque feel. I did have to get the boyfriend to drive me right up to this point though as although I can now get foot into heels, walking in them is a completely different story!!!

This week have joined Lookbook.nu which is a great online street style website with so many people showcasing their individual looks from all over the world. It's great to check out for some outfit inspiration and could spend quite a few hours checking out all the various posts on there. Have a look yourself and 'hype' different looks that you like, including mine that I'll start putting on, here.

Going a bit...dotty

Jumper: Primark   Skirt: Primark   Bag: House of Holland for Debenhams   Boots: New Look   Bracelet: Facets

Today is the day the cast comes off, hopefully! Just sat waiting to go for my appointment and the sound of the scary saw, did not enjoy the sound of that going when I was getting the thing put on! I was feeling in a bit of a bright mood yesterday and love the feel of this skirt. Didn't want to over do accessories with the sparkly jumper but one of the only silver bits of jewellery I own is from a gift shop in Knutsford that immediately caught my eye due to the size and sparkle!

Speaking of jewellery, you know I mentioned before, here, about maybe doing a bit of a giveaway. Well if you are interested am going to giveaway this Urban Outfitters piece, here, to one of my followers. Comes in one size and has just been worn in this photo. All you need to do is just go to the Facebook page, here, where the jewellery photos are and Like the page, then leave me an e-mail at wishiwore@live.com with your name used to like the page and I'll select someone at random after 6pm on Sunday and let them know. Thanks for all your support and good luck!

It's here...finally

Dress: Dee V by Diana Vickers for very.co.uk

Was very pleased to wake up today to the delivery (in what did look like a previous pizza box) of the above vintage prom dress by Diana Vickers, that I finally managed to order off Very the other day. It's something I've constantly been looking out for since the line launched in May and lost out on due to its popularity. I have recently noticed them coming back online again so before they were all sold out managed to grab a size 10. Little disappointed that can't get away with wearing straight away but is going to have to be taken in :(, oh well waiting this long suppose another couple weeks couldn't hurt!

Also in the Dee V range very much like this over sized coat, here, great for wrapping up in the next few months and this shirt (printed with little dogs all over) and trouser combination, here, sold separately. Check out very.co.uk for full range, sizes going quickly! Have become a little bit obsessed with internet shopping  thanks to last few weeks, probably best to put the computer down now!

Sisterly...love it

Shirt: Primark   Scarf: H&M   Chinos (with belt): Primark   Trainers: River Island   Watch: Walt Disney Company   Make up set: Benefit   Perfume: "Pixie Dust" at The Disney Store

Only one week left till the cast comes off, spent yesterday organising shoe boxes (think I have now cleared out my wardrobe three times over!). I basically did what I usually end up doing anyway when sorting out my shoes - staring at them for a while and then put them back, unworn, in their boxes - but without being able to have a little try on properly, this time was a little disheartening!

Anyways, the sister makes an appearance on here today, mainly as she has been very kind to me the last few weeks and running round to make sure I don't walk too far or fall over and break more bones! (I don't think she could take anymore!) I also liked her mix of colours in the outfit she was wearing, the mint of the shirt picked up in the scarf and the matching brown belt and trainers. Was watching her get ready (I had got upstairs and was dreading the trip down again) and liking all her pretty make up sets and bottles - note to self, must take advantage of more! Thank sis!

Top picks...this week

Top photo: Sequin Fox Jumper - Topshop - £38
Second photo: Pewter Plait Obi Belt - Miss Selfridge - £14
Third photo: Gold Pleated Maxi Skirt - Love - £35
Fourth photo: Leather Ring Strap Boots - Dorothy Perkins - £65
Last photo: Green Embellished Leather Tote - £100

Have been having fun doing the internet shop this week, it started as Christmas present shopping but swiftly changed as I started looking about!!! One of my purchases was the above gold maxi skirt (gotta love a bit of gold lame!), which I would put with similar items to the ones above for an autumn outfit, also thought would be a great item for summer in Ibiza, already wishing for some sun!

Am having a thing for asymmetric hemlines this week as also purchased this dress, here, from River Island. While looking for the image saw the above green bag with the beautiful embellished pattern on.
